Question

Dear Mr. Wormwood,

I am most unfortunately responsible

for telling you that your dearest faun

has died. He was trampled in the woods

by a rather large "sorn". Please do not

do anything rash, as the high king is in town,

and you are still responsible for your mark.

I am told your dear uncle, Screwball, or something

of the sort, is coming to visit in order to perform a toast

and, of course console you.

Please lodge all sorn trampling complaints with the

Complaint desk in Malacandra.

Yours truly,

?????

NO googling please!

This reminds me of a book by C.S. Lewis. Wormwood writes to his uncle Screwtape for advice on how to tempt and doom man (both are demons). The "high king" in this book, I believe, is the devil, though it has been a long time since I've read the book. I hope this helps (and I'm not feeding a red herring) as I'm completely stuck after this point.
