0 Guest
I hope that you do not take this offensively ML. I just thought this would help people out.... We are as old as time, we are young You never only hear one of our names We were torn apart, but forced our way together Much blood is on our hands, as it also drips on our love Together we began and together we leave Our story is loud and brash, but as quiet as a tomb For as old as we are, we will never die at the point of a sword Time is our friend but our death is in it, too Do you know who we are, can you speak our names? I hope that this is correct. I am not sure if the second to last line is correct though. No good guesses yet, but I will think.... 0 Magic_luver101
Thank you, Magic_luver101, for this riddle! I am so certain of the answer that I decided to join "BrainDen.com" by becoming a member today--just so I could post a response to your forum. Commonly, I read lots of riddles online, but seldom have I ever posted responses to a website for any reason ... let alone joined one. This riddle seems to contain a grand element of didactic timelessness as does one of my favorites, Shelley's Ozymandias. So, below is my best guess, and I hope I'm correct. [Will I get a prize? Hahaha!] Anyway, I believe ML included some wonderful literary clues (shared with my answer in the Spoiler). Spoiler for Are you sure you should peek At my comments below? If my answer is right, Then there's no more to know! : 1) There are some themes that seem Shakespearean: "torn apart," "blood on our hands," "drips on our love," "quiet as a tomb," "die at the point of a sword" 2) So, "Romeo and Juliet" is my answer. I'm sorry but you are not right i wrote it like that to thoungh you off no one has got it yet

0 Guest
...war and peace... Oh, duh! Is it "War and Peace"? I was so certain of my last guess, so I shouldn't be so sure this time. Just curious, ML--how long did it take you to write this riddle? It's very intriguing (whatever the answer is)!
