I am not sure what its called technically but is it the "light flare" or the "light stick" that you break to give a floroscent light ?

Anyone on the exact name for this?

Best used when broken.

Useless in the light.

i think i got it, but it's a strech

a flashlight! i know, i know. you don't break them. but i guess when you put the batteries in you could conseder doing that "breaking" it open to put batteries in, and it is best used with batteries in it! and obviously, it's useless in the light.
