No one is ever given too much My snowy white hair, I’ve no need for a care The centuries I’ve seen, from millennia I glean I plod on at steady pace I’ve never considered for myself a race Nothing can stop me, no impenetrable wall Just let me work and I shall make it fall Don’t forget to take my notice, I’ll leave you unawares ‘cause once I’m gone and left, I’m sure that you will care My effects are all around you, the writings on the wall Someday you will succumb to me, like the mighty oak you’ll fall what am i?
