I tried posting this riddle once before, but others told me that it was posted before I put it up as well. It is a good idea to perform a search before posting a riddle to see if it was already put up. They were Fish. The broken glass and water was from their fallen fish bowl. By the way, I thought it was the Brownie syndrome from before with the Radiohead video. I always go into a Brownie trance after smelling my shoes. Should've connected those dots!! Heheh.
