There were three lamps. There are three switches outside the door of a room where those lamps are. (those switches control those lamps) Your annoying brother tells you that you wont be able to tell which lamp is to witch switch. How do you solve this in a span of two hours. Many solutions.

Assuming I can't enter the room to see which switch turns on which lamp, I can turn one on and wait for half an hour. Then I turn this one off and turn another one on. Then I go inside the room and I touch the turned off lamps. The one that is still hot, is the one I just turned off. Then the other one I just turned on, and the cold one corresponds to the switch I didn't touch.
