I sort the parts by length and alphabetize them. When I find there are 11 4-letter parts, I split one of them into equal halves. Then I see that each of the words has an ACHE in it! What are the odds? A subliminal tribute to my dentist, no doubt. Anyway, here are the pieces. Question
bonanova
So I'm writing this wordlist puzzle, as I did once before.
This time, as I'm ignoring a slightly painful reminder of an afternoon visit to my dentist,
I list ten kind-of random words on a sheet of paper. I notice that I've listed
- a bench * JC
- a case * HK
- a degree * JC
- a knife * HK
- a sensei * HK <-- corrected spelling
- a thief * HK
- a tube * CL
- some mentors * HK
- pulled something off * JC
- charged something * CL
As before, I let my pencil slice through the list, twice, dividing each word into three parts of lengths 1, 2, 3 or 4 letters.and I've also
I sort the parts by length and alphabetize them.
When I find there are 11 4-letter parts, I split one of them into equal halves.
Then I see that each of the words has an ACHE in it! What are the odds?
A subliminal tribute to my dentist, no doubt. Anyway, here are the pieces.
A B D D M R R R S T [10]
AT CO IM PE PO TE TE TR [8]
BLE DET LOR [3]
ACHE ACHE ACHE ACHE ACHE ACHE ACHE ACHE ACHE ACHE [10]
I reassembled the words and noted that if I re-arrange the 2nd letters of the words,
I get something that Bill wrote.
What is it? * CL
