Oh don't worry Grayven, I'm sure you'll come up with something in due time.

I was trying to watch some TV, but I was too wound up. Y'know... kinetic... atomic even! So I called my buddy Benjamin, to see what was tickin'.

"Big Ben," I said, "I don't mean to alarm you, but I think I'm coming down with something. My face is pale, my hands won't stop moving!"

"Isn't your Grandfather a Doctor?" Ben reminded me. He had this booming voice, but at times like this he was steady and rock solid. You could count on ol' Big Ben.

"Yeah, but there's a... a history there, ya know?" Ben knew that I never felt comfortable around the man, and also knew that had little to do with my Grandfather.

"C'mon man, if you feel as bad as you say you do, isn't it about time you put all that in the past?" Ben was a good friend. "I'll drive you, just give me a minute."

I was relieved when his Chronos (some fancy concept car that was supposed to be the car of the future) pulled up in front of the house. I was set against dealing with my Grandfather, but my condition was getting progressively worse, and I didn't know how much longer I had.

The ride across town seemed to pass quickly. Ben could really fly. When we got to Grandad's office, I got nervous and started to sweep imagined lint off my clothes. I was freaking out!

Once inside, I was shown to an exam room and told to wait. I started pacing... back and forth, back and forth. My Grandfather opened the door, nodded to me, then went about his normal routine. Slowly, deliberately, each movement calculated like clockwork, he examined me. All the time I was rocking back and forth with worry, oblivious to him. I didn't even notice when produced a little flashlight from his pocket. "Stop! Watch the light," he said as he shined the light into my eyes.

After what seemed like an eternity, he looked up and said "Yer ticker seems fine, boy, and so's about everything else."

"So why do I feel so out of sync?!" I sighed.

"Because you're wound too tight, kid! Just look at ya!" The old man laughed and looked at me sideways, "You ask me, I think you just need a date." We both chuckled. No wonder I never felt comfortable around Grandad, I never felt comfortable around anyone!!"

Ok, I'm done now

Howdy, and welcome to BrainDen

When you hit reply, there is a section on the left where it says Insert: Spoiler

Click on that and then fill in the new window that pops up.

Easy!

You'll get the hang of it in "no time" :P Help, I can't stop!!

okay i started this I guess - it is solved so the thread can be locked, but it's going on and on ....

Suggest we all move along - nothing to see here folks!

I have to agree, we've about used it up. I'll volunteer for the public flogging if punishment is required.
