They each have 2 sets of letters that repeat within the word. But maybe you had something else in mind?

but letters 2 and 3 are seen again as the last and next-to-last letters (bacwards, that is)

hmmm...still not quite.... but possibly on the right track :) keep thinking of a way to expound on that.

if you take away the first letter of each word, they read the same backwards as they do forwards (anagrams)

so close! think about what you would do

that first letter...

BINGO! :)

Yay!! Great job!

that is functionally the same as taking the first letter away, and having a word the same forward and backwards. Because if it has that condition, it must also be that if you add the first letter at the end, it is the same word backwards.

Unless I am missing something

This riddle has been posted before!

This is how you search:

Click on the search button at the top of the page where it says Gallery Blogs Calendar Members Search Help

Then click on More search options

Then you type in the keywords in the left window (I don't how you call those doohickeys)

For this riddle I simply typed banana +dresser. Keep in mind that there's space between the first word and the plus sign but no space between the plus and the following word.

I hope this helps. Welcome to the Den and have fun! :)
