is it

1349

The first number can only be 1 2 and 3

the second can only be 3 6 and 9

the third is either 4 from 1+3 or 8 from 2+6

the last can only be 3 because otherwise it would be larger

than nine

unless the last can be 18 or 27? that would just be confusing though

What is the four-digit number in which the first digit is one-third the second, the third is the sum of the first and second, and the last is three times the second?

We have to take care that the 2nd digit is divisible by 3 and when multiplied by 3 should result in a single digit.

Pretty simple!

There is only one answer B))

I have the answer - but don't want to spoil it for others. ;)
