# Sheikh's Heritage

## Recommended Posts

Good one!

The wise man said, "Your father has just installed the Internet in your home. FREE PORN!"

The wise man said, "Your father is packing up all the valuables and preparing to run away with your inheritance!"

The wise man said, "The last one of you in my desert will inherit my scimitar in your butt!"

The wise man said, "When your father made that challenge, it was Speak Opposite Day!"

I prefer this answer , it's more logical than the real one lol.

But the riddle said that whoever had the slowest camel would inherit the Sheikh's money. Why would the two brothers be racing as fast as they can? Don't they want the fortune?

I think the guy told them that he would only give the solution to " slower camel" to who ever goes the same trip as asked by the father and arrives first at wise mans door.

So "....off they went" hoping to get the wise man wisdom.

But of course there will be the last one to get the Castle.

:icon_eek: easy!

The wise man told them the father died. The bet was off.
If the bet was off, then why go through with the race.

the wise guy told then to run your camel as fast as you can as probably the camel will get tired soon and can not go to city fast, but if the camel is going slowly then slow and steady wins the race.

After second thought, i think the Wise man told them that the answer will lies in the most tired Camel so they better start wearing out the camels as early as possible to make them fatigued.

By the time they come back the most fatigued will arrive last.

Any objections

Yeah, but why not just go straight home, and to Hell with Camels and races...

This rather myopic answer. Bet was off, yet the Crazy sons of Czars run nuts humping camels!

Think this more realistic case. Best answer so far

Think about that for a second... "HAD" ...not "HAS". If they switched camels then the loser HAD the slowest camel.

Technically this is what should be considered. Lets say you got off of one camel and got on another one and raced it and won the race. Then the camel that you were on previously came in last and was the slowest camel. All in all, you lost then. My point being.... Whether they changed camels or not, they would still not want to be the one who got there first. the wise man was an idiot.

If they are going to try to be the last there, they would neve get there, they will go slower and slower until they stop and will not move before the other for fear of being first.

Thus nowone will ever get the inheritance.

the wise man told them get there as fast as they can and agree before hand to split the money 50/50 between them. So it does not matter he is first and last

The brothers both had severe cases of amnesia, and the wise man told them that the best doctor in town would treat only one more severe case of amnesia before he would quit his job and leave town. They hopped on their camels, as the amnesia made them forget the bet, and rode to the doctors house.

oh ok i get it now

by switching camels and racing as fast as they could made the others camel tired and slow. so by having the slowest camel in the beginning meant you would win in the end because your new camel would get slow not as quickly and you would end up at the city faster. make sense?

It's simple, if they trade camels they want the camel their riding to not be the slowest. (Because they switched) The man is a really wise man.

I'd just name my camel "Slower"

"An Arab sheikh tells his two sons to race their camels to a distant city to see who will inherit his fortune. The one whose camel is slower will win. The brothers, after wandering aimlessly for days, ask a wise man for advice. After hearing the advice they jump on the camels and race as fast as they can to the city."

The man might have been wise enough to tell the brothers to switch camels and get it over with faster but a smart son would have kept his own camel, rode to within walking distance of the city alone then shot or hamstrung the camel for good measure, making it the slower of the two. He would then walk the rest of the way to the city and perhaps get word to his brother that he'd reached the city but nothing more. The brother could then ride to the city thinking he had the slower camel only to find out that even though he got there last his camel got there before the other camel. The first brother would thus both reach the city first and have the slower of the two camels.

<!-- s8) --><!-- s8) --> But the riddle said that whoever had the slowest camel would inherit the Sheikh's money. Why would the two brothers be racing as fast as they can? Don't they want the fortune?

Because they swapped camels so one brother races on the others camel and vice versa, so if one wins on the others camel his camel loses and he gets the money!

If your camel started fast, it would get tired soon and would end up finishing slowly...

howzzat??

Simple, the wise man told the sons that the Arab sheikh was actually in debt. Neither of the sons wanted to inherit the debt, so they both raced as fast as they could. Whoever was slowest got the debt.

This is simple.

The aim of the race is for one of the boys and his camel to race to the city and return but the owner of the slowest camel would be declared winner.

By switching camels it meant the new intention was to make the others camel travel fast, therefore making your own camel, which the other rides, the slower of the two. as one would win.

Make sense?

Very very good.........

the wise man told the fools that the ones they were riding was not slower...so they jumped on the other and raced fast to be the winner..moral of the story is never trust strangers and fools never think before thy act

Once again I always get the question wrong because I am thinking outside the box.

If I was one of the brothers I would just kill my camel. It takes along time for something dead to walk home.

When my brother finaly came strolling in parched and weatherd from the long time wandering the desert trying to secure the wealth, I would laugh...Oh how I would laugh.

For the animal friendly people out there I would just let the camel go.( Dry your tears liberal.)

I read this one in a book a few years ago, but it was a race between three brothers not two and thus had a different result as to what the wise man had said. WIll ahve a look around alter on to see what it was and edit this witht hat result .

The one who had the slower camel wins because that person slowed down his camel so to give way to his brother. So he travelled slow. He must have a heart. He love his brother than the fortune. So he let his brother reach the city first to win the fortune.

So when he reached home, his father would think that he is not greedy. Am i correct?

The father may have just been a jerk and said that so he could run off with his money
