nope - slang

"Gut" is not slang any more than "lip" is slang for Labia superfluos entafada (upper lip) or Labium inferius (lower lip).

The gut is the body's largest immune organ, with the greatest number of immune cells. In fact, the lining of the gut contains 50 to 70 percent of your body’s lymphocytes (immune cells). The gut has two main functions:

* Digesting and absorbing nutrients

* Protecting you from infection

The first line definition from your source is as follows:

Gut Basics

Your intestinal tract (gut) is about 25 feet long. It includes your stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum, and anus.

So you are correct - with this definition - it is not slang - however it is not A body part, but rather a term used to describe multiple body parts.

The word "gut" used to identify a single body part IS slang as in :

2. Slang a stomach, esp. a fat one

Hope that clarifies my reasoning for not including GUT as one of the answers
