Guest
When is it possible to multiply the 21st in a sequence by 2, and have the product become the 23rd? PS--sorry if this is too easy, but I thought of it while getting ready for work today
0 Guest
No math is needed to solve this problem. It is a finite sequence that we use every single day--not bizarre or unusual in anyway. Edited September 18, 2008 by Mumbles140

0 Guest
19 days before the end of the month...that would make the 2nd of the next month the 21st in the sequence and the 4th the 23rd. 1/13 2/10 (2/11 during leap years) 3/13 4/12 5/13 6/12 7/13 8/13 9/12 10/13 11/12 12/

0 Guest
Congratulations, Mag! First to get it. And I assume, Alyanna, that you were talking about it in terms of looks, but I was referencing the name (not to mention that it is a preference in looks whether curvy or straight... As for Music, that appears to be correct as well--not my intended answer but creative and seemingly valid nonetheless--congrats to you, too! So did you all enjoy this? I literally thought of it while I was shaving and figured I'd test it out on the Braindenizens

0 unreality
what about a 2-root-2 sequence, ie, where each number is the previous multiplied by the square root of 2? The 21st number x2 equals the 23rd number ;D hehe
0 Guest
Can you make the segment of that sequence so I can see it in action? And I'm working under the assumption that you either didn't read (or creatively ignored) the hint, which I respect very much either way
