Mind Trap #125 - Death in a Tent

Question:

Shadow flipped the tent flap open and surveyed the scene. On the floor, in the centre of the tent, a man lay dead from self inflected gunshot wounds. In the corner of the tent was a small cot. A package of cigarettes and an empty whiskey bottle lay on the bedside table next to a kerosene lamp. Shadow combed the tent for additional clues to the possible motive. Other then the articles mentioned, the only things Shadow found were a half dozen small circular wooden disks under the cot, the mans personal effects, and a variety of scrapbooks and news clippings. Shadow found the last articles particulary strange since it was learned the suicide victim was completely illiterate. What was the reason for the apparent suicide?

yes/no question can be asked, however not twice in a row.

Good Luck

which way he thinks he's going

Thats not a yes/no question :P

if he did kill his self on purpose then it was because hes the ex clay pigeon shooting champ. the newspaper clipping is saying how the illerate midget champiship reign has come to a end.

if it was a accident then then its the current champ going back to his tent at night for more discs and his cigs with a gun and bottle in hand, he tripped and fell killing hisself. he could of been out having a party over winning yet another contest.

multiple (i.e. wounds not a wound) it was not a suicide?

I think it was someone shortening his cane rather than adding risers to his shoes, which would mean that someone drove him to suicide - essentially murder. None the less, it's considered bad form to point out others' typos, especially when you know what they meant.

My appologies - I am new to the forum and that was my first post and attempt at figuring out a riddle. I hadn't intended to point out typos, I was wondering if it was a clue and was trying to elicit the yes/no response. I meant no offense.

I meant no offense either, just pointing out the etiquette. But, it would have been better etiquette on my part to PM you about it. So, my apologies to you as well. And, welcome to the den.
