0 Guest
Golly, Slick, are you sure I don't need a hint?? Can you at least tell me if these 6 words are supposed to form a sentense? 0 akaslickster
Golly, Slick, are you sure I don't need a hint?? Can you at least tell me if these 6 words are supposed to form a sentense? It's one simple sentence. I saw crytic chic last night and was sure she would have solved it but, she quickly fled because I guess it was too easy for her and went looking for a real challenge. 0 Guest
Tough... I'm about to give up, but can share what I've found so far. The '1' can't be a single letter because the last word won't work with any single letter as '1'. I'm thinking '1' might stand for any vowel. The second most common number is '1' followed by '3' and '10', but the rest only appear once in the whole cryptogram... Actually I'm starting to think it may be a more unorthodox solution... Does each number have to be consistent throughout? For example, do the '1's' in the first word have to be the same letter as the '1's' in the last? 0 Guest
These are always more fun to create than to solve. if 1=any vowel and 17=w and 7=h than words 2 and 3 could be "we who" I having a hard time making the connection to the rest though. 0 akaslickster
God start guys . You're on the right track. 1 can be any vowel and take it from there. Edited August 12, 2008 by akaslickster

0 Guest
Well I'm stumped. The only other thing I can think of is that there is some significance to the rest of the non-vowel numbers, which is probably the case since they are not sequential after 1. They don't correspond to position in the alphabet (makes the first word 'T?JC?K' - counting backwards from Z is also garbage), or any other pattern I can come up with. I've also tried shifting the alphabet so that W will be the 17th letter (in the case of 2 and 3 being "we who") as well as with "to the" and "so she..." I think it's solvable from this point, just gotta figure out what those other numbers mean! I give up for today...
