Oh and your reward is that you get to see a picture of me in my military band uniform! I don't know which image viewer/editor you use. I use faststone image viewer. Download it from here. 1) Install it 2) open the image whose size you want to reduce in it. 3) press ctrl+s. 4) change the filename (else your original will be overwritten) 5) set 'save as type' as JPEG format 6) click options, slide the slider next to 'Quality' till you see 'New file size' to be your required value. Hope that helps. If you are still in dark, let me know. I shall provide screen shots.
0 Guest
There is no need to crop an image just to decrease its size.

Thx though esjohnson Ok. 1) Open the image in PS. 2) press Ctrl + Shift + S. 3) Change the filename (OR) the location to save the file. 4) In 'Format' drop down, select JPEG. And click 'Save'. 5) You will be provided with a dialog box named 'JPEG Options'. 6) There will be a slider below 'Quality'. Slide it till you see the required file size which is displayed below 'Preview'. Else You can temporarily post the original image in this thread. I shall download it, reduce its size and then post it here. You can then download that image and delete the original one from the thread. 0 Guest
Download the image. Its less than 50K. DO NOT replace this with your original copy. Only use it in your personal photo. I'll delete this attachment as soon as I get to know that you have downloaded it. Edited August 6, 2008 by esjohnson
