bonanova
Two friends, Jim and John, were texting each other one night. One was in an East Coast [uSA] state, the other in a West Coast state. Just to clarify, the two states had borders on the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, respectively. "What time is it where you are?" Jim typed. "The same time it is where you are!" John replied. Could John have been telling the truth?

0 Guest
Is it possible when the daylight saving time steps in for the east zone but not yet for the west zone or visa-versa ??? You've got the right idea, Benthe west coast person was in eastern Oregon, which is the only part of the only west coast state in mountain time, not pacific time. The east coast person was on the Florida Panhandle, which is in central, not eastern, time. The text must occur in the fall, on the night daylight savings time ends. The Floridian will "fall back" first, and for and hour, will be on Central Standard Time while the Oregonian is still on Mountain Daylight Time. Both are GMT-6h, I believe

0 Guest
Well, I can tell it has something to do with coastal states that are in 2 times zones...The two states that fall into that category are Florida and Oregon. But after that...I'm not too sure...
