Why are you looking so near and, --it's near to you, on the keyboard

when above all the luck I'm right here. --above the number 7 (lucky number)

Usually I'm not used and, --use of the word "and" instead

of course not abused. --not sure on this one

I hang in the middle and, --in the middle of the row of keys at the top of the keyboard

you need to look well, --look at your keyboard!

the one before me is cone-like I tell. --the "^" above the 6 key is like a cone

I join the two items as best that I can and, --"&" is used to join two words or terms

if you think really hard, you'll know what I am.

Y are U looking so near.Above all the luck= lucky number 7 & above.I used four ands for a reason &&&&. The ^ is cone-like and conjunctions join 2 items and it was too darn simple. Bad Me.

Hey this riddle isnt fair...

im sitting with another keyboard layout...

The "&" on my keyboard is above 6 and not 7

so all the clues didnt fit my keyboard

(i know that you cant make a riddle that fits all keyboards in the world... just my 2 cents )

Thanks! I do love a good puzzle so I'm already feeling at home! I use Spoilers in a games forum already and having loitered for a few days saw them being used here so I knew what to do

Honestly ,I had know idea that your keyboard was different. I award you 5 kudos for bringing it to my attention. Also that is my last character riddle. I was hoping the 4 ands was enough hint. I really abused them.
