0 Guest
I don't know if this is right or not, but is it when you say the girl with the clean face washed 'her face' that means she wased the dirty girl's face?
0 unreality
nope. i meant what i implied by that. the girl with the clean face washed her own face.

0 unreality
With no mirrors, the two girls looked at each other's faces to see how dirty they were. Thus the girl with the clean face thought she had a dirty face and washed her face. And the girl with the dirty face thought she had a clean face like the other girl so she didn't bother to wash. After they were done gardening, the girl with the clean face washed her face, the girl with the dirty face did not... why? Just more proof that boys are smarter than girls... A boy would have used double logic assuming that if the boy with a clean face washed, then it must be himself that is dirty!
0 unreality
lol not all boys. maybe i would have done that, but that cant be said of everyone... and girls are proven smarter than boys all around, so that sucks for us guys no my proof: boys wouldn't be gardening at all! lol

0 Guest
actually riddle is a bit more complicated then that: 1)the clean boy looks at the dirty boy; realizes that his face must be dirty and washes. 2)if it ever happens again the dirty boy will wash because he realizes that the clean boyy washed the last time so he must be dirty 3)why would two people doing the same thing end up with two different results? they should either be both clean or both dirty. This riddle is an adaptation of the "robbers riddle". My #2 answer therefore might not make as much sense in this context.

My #2 answer therefore might not make as much sense in this context. #3: gardening isnt some mathematical equation, jeez. someone can easily stay perfectly clean (at least their face) while gardening, someone else could just as easily get very dirty #2: they don't see this as a riddle, and their not logicians that see through multiple steps. they're just gardening. #1: duh... thats part of the riddle answer. they both look at each other's faces and do opposite of what they need to do.
