Question

Almost like a human

Pope for a day

Two hours with our lady

What a price to pay

Smitten, a young Agnes

A name she had before

Dancing bewitching Gypsy

Treated like a *****

Archdeacon and a fief

Intelligent and shrewd

Infatuated by her

Thinking something lewd

Brother of the deacon

Trouble maker scallywag

He too attacks our lady

Then killed by the poor fag

Hideous malformation

Believed to be absurd

Holiday gives information

A whistle can be heard

Put unto the gallows

Crime was not her deed

The creature couldn't rescue

A love he had to cede ......

I will accept what or who!

I don't know exactly what the point is...but it sounds a lot like the Quasimodo story - wow, the title escapes me at the moment.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

But where does "the four orphans" fit in?

I don't know the whole story, but I'm pretty sure Quasimodo and Esmerelda were both orphans. I don't know about the Archdeacon and the other character. But I think based on the first 2 it's safe to assume we're right.

Bingo!

But where does "the four orphans" fit in?
Quasimodo, Esmeralda (Agnes) as well as Claude and Jehan Frollo - all orphans
