Question

Hinkety Pinkety

An old children’s game. The answer to each clue is a pair of rhyming words.

Hink Pink- each word in the rhyming pair is one syllable

Hinky Pinky- each word in the rhyming pair is two syllables

Hinkety Pinkety- each word in the rhyming pair is three syllables

Examples:

Hink Pink: a strict plant- stern fern

Hinky Pinky: hand cream made with sea salt- ocean lotion

Hinkety Pinkety: a velocipede left outside in winter- icicle tricycle or icicle bicycle

Hink Pink:

1. A proper hat

2. A modest group

3. To badger a witness

4. Head case

5. Seasonal allergies

6. To stop an earthquake

7. A musty fur

Hinky Pinky:

8. Where pessimists go to get treated

9. An arctic hare’s hat

10. A mangy cat

11. Zeus’ wrath

12. When Zeus’ wrath falls upon the wrong person

Hinkety Pinkety:

13. Crazy about Monet

14. Smart salt

15. Aesop’s fables on a t-shirt

Not quite sure yet how to score it. Not all Hinkety Pinketys are necessarily harder than all Hinky Pinkys, or all Hinky Pinkys harder than all Hink Pinks, etc. So for now, each answer to any one of them is worth 1 point. But I am open to suggestions. :)

1, 8, and 10 already posted. 11 is correct. :) Didn't think of 2 and 6, but both are good. So you've got 3! :)
