The king decided to play a game with the princes to figure out who's the smartest. The objective of this game was to guess at the colour of one's own hat. If a prince had a wrong answer, he then would be hanged! The king stood them in a line all facing the same way so that the first priince can see no other princes, second prince can see the first one, and the third one all two (You know da drill ). He had prepared 3 white hats and 2 black hats (and the princes were aware of this, of course). After blinfolding the princes, he put a hat on each prince, and released the blindfolds. ... 10 minutes later, the guard asked, "can anyone guess yet?", but nobody answered. Another 10 min. later, "can anyone guess yet?", but nobody answered. Finally after another 10 min., the first prince got the right answer and married the princess.
