I read the rules before posting a new puzzle or riddle. I searched and found there is a ranking system for answers. A lot of the brain teasers seem to be math, so I looked up solve in wikipedia and linked my way over to riddles - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riddles

I'm wondering what ya'll have found :-P any good guide lines for riddles and puzzle writing out there?

I would say word it well, kind of flesh out a background story (unless it's a simple word riddle or challenge) and make the story a bit capturing, so that people read the riddle- and don't make the solution too obvious, though you can make it as hard as you please Make sure that the riddle is clear and people can understand it well

other than that, there's no real "format" to use
