Question

Two convicts are locked in a cell. There is an unbarred window high up in the cell. No matter if they stand on the bed or one on top of the other they can't reach the window to escape. They then decide to tunnel out. However, they give up with the tunneling because it will take too long. Finally one of the convicts figures out how to escape from the cell. What is his plan? B))

the one convict stands the bed up the long way against the wall and gets a boost from the other to get on top and escape.? Or the one convict plays sickly and when the guard opens the cell to see what is wrong the other knocks him out and escapes.?

How about if they stood the bed vertically such that the head of the bed is on the floor, then convict1 stands on top of convict2 whilst convict2 is standing on top of the foot of the bed? This should give them a couple of extra feet to reach the window since the length of the bed is greater than the height of the bed. Of course, this assumes that they are only short of a few feet to reach the window.

There is too many different ways as it isn't specific enough, they could pick the lock with a pin they found, they could have superhuman powers, it could be pretty much anything.
