Outside a saloon, an old man sits, watching as a cowboy rides up on his horse. The cowboy stops in front of the saloon, gets off his horse, ties the reins to the hitching post, then proceeds to the rear of the horse, lifts the tail, and runs his finger around the horses pooper, and then to the suprise and astonishment of the old man, he rubs his lips with same finger. The old man was so shocked by that, he had to ask,"What in tarnation you do that fer?" The cowboy points at his lips and says,"Chapped lips." So then the old man asked,"Do it help?" The cowboy replies,"No, but it sure keeps me from lickin' em!"
