0 Guest Posted April 3, 2008 Report Share Posted April 3, 2008 Actually, theres nothing special about the third group: the symbol in the nth position of any group in a particular row is 0 if the symbols in the nth position of the other two groups in that row are the same, and 1 if they are different. Or otherwise stated, if you take the groups as binary numbers, a group is the sum of the other groups in its row, except using the kind of addition where there is no 'carrying'. I chose it because they behave consistently as binary numbers. I'm curious - how are these from the Sumers? Or is that still a question to be discovered?
