This is an old one, but it's still good:

You have three light fixtures in a room and three switches in another room. You are standing in the room with the switches and from here you cannot see the fixtures. You can only leave the room once. How do you figure out which switch operates which fixture?

Already posted at least once...

Turn one on for a while, then turn it off and turn on a different switch. Walk into the room. One is hot, one's on and one's off.
