Question

The local bus driver told me that last week, his bus was almost full of people. After his final stop of the day, the bus was totally empty, but not a single person got off the bus. How is this possible?

After his final stop of the day last week?

If so,

I would say the answer is that the bus is very small... perhaps it can hold only one person (just the bus driver). Therefore, if the bus was empty to begin with then it was "almost full" (if there were any more people on it, it would be full... maximum occupancy of 1). This would allow it to be empty and "almost full" simultaneously.

YOU WIN!!!!!!

That was fast!

You replied to an answer about spouses (no "single" people). Doesn't that make this a word riddle, not a logic/math puzzle?

I think my answer is better... the bus can only hold one person... so when it is empty it is "almost full" as well.
