Upon seeing no one, he walks to the tallest building in the area, climbs the stairs to the top floor and jumps off. Halfway to the ground, he hears a phone ringing and knows he has made a mistake. The first half of this guess is true. He did think the building was abandoned. However, the lack of privacy was not his concern.
