Its purpose is to maintain the status quo

it used to trap but some may still escape

especially when the hatch is open

its a vessel but its not an aquatic ship

because of nothing its able to work

its outer is different from its inner

in winter to summer it can be of use

a thermos?

yep you got it right!! you were so close darth!

i came up with this while i was drinking from my thermos in the middle of the night.

Its purpose is to maintain the status quo- maintain the status of temperature of hot and cold liquids

it used to trap but some may still escape- no matter what it eventually loses its hot/cool temp

especially when the hatch is open- especially when you have the top open(it also looks like hatch)

its a vessel but its not an aquatic ship- vessel=drinking container

because of nothing its able to work- its able to work because of a vacuum aka nothing)

its outer is different from its inner liquid insides and metal/plastic outsides

in winter to summer it can be of use can be used in all seasons but in summer its for cool drinks. winter for hot drinks.

Toilet. Though I shudder to think of things escaping. Don't answer this until you want to give a hint: By 'nothing' in "because of nothing its able to work" do you mean a vacuum?

ROFL i didn't see this earlier but you were right on the "works because of nothing" part
