"Mattress

Warning: Do not attempt to swallow

Blanket from taiwan:

not to be used as protection from a tornado

Manual for an SGI computer.

Do not dangle the mouse by its cable or throw the mouse at co-workers."

Those three are my favorites. This is epic.

most, if not all of these are probably a stupid lawsuit someone made. one dude backed up a garbage truck into his own car on accident, and sued the garbage company!!!

i have one:

on a keyboard:

read owners and safety manual to prevent serious injury or death.

on a sign:

edges on this sign are sharp, do not tough edges. (didn't say anything else!)

My favourite has to be about nuts. Here in Australia and in the UK many a pack of peanuts, cashew nuts, pistachio nuts, etc has very visibly displayed "Warning: may contain traces of nuts." I suppose it all stems from the American desire to blame someone for everything, I mean where else could someone think that cruise control enables them to leave the wheel and go and make a cup of coffee in the back of their RV and successfully win the lawsuit!!

even though i am an American, i have to admit, most of us are pretty dumb. and misuse the justice system to make some dumb lawsuit and get $, if at all possible. i heard of these people that went illegally walking on subway tracks, then when a subway came, one of them tried to outrun it!! then they sued the driver because he didn't stop in time, she got, like alot of broken bones, and alot of stitches.

Some of these labels are really funny - that they could at all be necessary? (What would one expect to find in a packet of peanuts?)

Reminds me of a quote i once read:

"I'm not saying people are getting dumber. All i say is, in my days, people didn't need to read on the envelope where to put the stamp."

Soy Milk: Caution: May contain traces of soy.

Package of peanuts: May contain nuts and/or was processed on machinery that processes nuts.

Seriously, some of these kind of labels are just a waste of ink! Oh well...
