0 Guest Posted February 16, 2009 Report Share Posted February 16, 2009 Okay, just for the sake of easiness: Docta was on the right track, just a little too old-fashioned. Not a person or character. The second stanza uses multiple plays on words. The first half of the third stanza uses replacement. Good luck! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

0 Guest Posted February 17, 2009 Report Share Posted February 17, 2009 It's a gun. No, but welcome! a bomb? Nope, though it could go into one. Is it on the right track as far as a weapon of some sort or the fact that it's something forged or created? Your second option is the first step. Gold? or any metal? Close... as far as creation goes. 0 Guest Posted February 18, 2009 Report Share Posted February 18, 2009 (edited) a television, or maybe just an image on the screen. Together yet separate, I never can retire; For though I may stop working, I am reborn by fire. pixels are together yet separate. Conceived by one not dumb, And born by killing another, I am perfected by the noise, Though I never had a mother. TV is sort of an extension of the radio (not dumb/mute), and the images on the pixels are born by replacing the previous image. The image alone is perfected by the addition of sound. And, though the image may be of a person, that image didn't have a biological mother. You might use intelligence, While others ask a doctor. To solve this one, you may need to ask questions; I will be your proctor. intelligence and doctor could be references to quiz or medical shows. Am I even on the right track? Question
Guest
Together yet separate,
I never can retire;
For though I may stop working,
I am reborn by fire.
Conceived by one not dumb,
And born by killing another,
I am perfected by the noise,
Though I never had a mother.
You might use intelligence,
While others ask a doctor.
To solve this one, you may need to ask questions;
I will be your proctor.
