0100101 is binary for 37, with 1 = on and 0 = off

Ah, clever, but he said he did it through trail and error, there's a logical way to sove it and be able to do any other combination if I asked (I wanted to put in more combos for challenge but it wouldn't have made much difference)...

Each switch represents a binary number with the LSB on the left. Multiple toggled switches are additive and the values sum to 127, the maximum number that can be represented. As such there is no possibility of rollover, so not every integer can be represented.

Values are 20, 4, 10, 3, 50, 9, 31.

Adding the 4, 50, and 31 together yield the solution number of 85. So the binary sequence is 0100101.
