Question

If the whole idea of all paradoxes can be reduced down to basic components, what then could we build? Possibly something as complex as a hyperdimentional idea?

Materials needed;

1. A raw, generic paradox. Sort of like a math equation.

2. Basic equation, or description, of all hyper objects.

3. A blender.

Anyone up for the challenge?

so we start off with a raw generic paradox.

"this sentence is false."

this essentially is a 1 dimensional paradox. it contains two possible evaluations, true, or false, but either solution results in a contradiction. in order to bump it up a notch, we need to extend it to two sentences witch four total evaluations, all of which lead to contradiction.

"the sentence below is false.

the sentence above is true."

with this paradox we have 4 possible evaluations. (true,true) (true,false) (false,true) and (false,false).

none of which lead to a logical conclusion. thus a 2d paradox.

going to the third dimension requires 3 sentences with 8 possible evaluations.

"the next two sentences are false. the previous sentence is true. the first sentence is false."

now going 1 higher, you would of course need 4 sentences with 16 evaluations.

"the sentence to the right is true. the sentence below this one is false.

the sentence above is false. the sentence to the left is true."

and so on.

This is a big jump. You're taking a big leap using the second sentence with "true", but it only limits the paradox if it's by itself. Interesting it works. Very pretty.

I can see this in two ways due to your first sentence. The first gives less responsibility to the other sentences while the other gives more. Let me elab (they don't read as well but...):

1. "The next sentence is false. The next sentence is false. The first sentence is false."

2. "The other sentences are false. The other sentences are false. The other sentences are false."

now going 1 higher, you would of course need 4 sentences with 16 evaluations.

"the sentence to the right is true. the sentence below this one is false.

the sentence above is false. the sentence to the left is true."

and so on.

This is my favorite. You read it, follow it, and find your eyes are literally swirling! Cool effect!
