Ninny = Sissy or Fool Nanny = Goat Netti = Toilet or Bathroom All British Slang so the coincidence would be uncanny... foolish goat on a toilet in a petticoat... It does what you speak of. I realize match doesn't really fit the petticoat part unless we're talking about the jacket the matches come in the match book.
