First attempt at a WAI, probably far too easy:

WAI

Of siblings, I am shortest

We jump, I alone get taller

Bury fear? confused am i

2nd or 2nd to last, I am both

the middle child in a family of three

i think that line might have made it too obvious....

No it was a good riddle - I just kind have thought it was the word because it didn't really relate to the riddle...

I like it, but don't get the 2nd to last part. can someone explain?

it's cryptic. Confused means the letters are confused, scrambled. "Bury Fear" is an anagram of February.

slight, rules have their meaning. For instance, unique and descriptive title enables others to identify each riddle more easily. I have added " - Shortest Sibling" in your title.

Not that you will ever see this but apologies. I could not seem to get back into the original post to edit it once I realised.

I originally thought you meant the second to last line. but now think you meant the line which states "2nd to last". sorry about that. this line refers to the calendar year versus the fiscal year.

Thanks for the reply. My question wasn't quite clear enough. I meant, I don't get the part about "2nd to last." I get that it's the second month, but how is it second to last?
