A woman came to him and presented her case:

I have worked with actors and actressses since I was a teen. I have gotten a ton of actors and actresses that are famous to come preform a play called Who spilled the Soup. They will be preforming in Winterblok theater, a very VERY old theater. The actors and actresses are not cooperating with each other. I know there is something going on. The only clue I have is very mysterious. An old program has been found for the same play with the same actors and actresses, 20 years back. Also listed is director and crew. I need these people to cooperate for the charity event! Please Help.... Did I mention they are acting VERY strangly doing things like carring around bricks at midnight and using pickaxes? I need you Detective Brown.

Ok, so the ultimate goal of this fiasco is to get the actors working together for the charity event. They suspect one another of being a "rat," even though the director is not really dead and has been extorting them with the threat of exposure for twenty years. So, obvious solution, find the undead director and hope he's not a vampire. It would be much cooler if he's a vampire though. Anyways, let's try talking to the actors. I would like to declare in a very loud voice during a dress rehersal that the previous director would never have allowed such shoddy acting from this cast two decades ago.

You guys are on the right track. But let me give you guys an important bit of info to help wrap up the case. The director is still alive, punishing those actors and actresses. The actors and actresses REALLY fear being ratted on. They are now poor beacause of it. I have been trying to hint at this for 3 days, but nobody has got it yet. If no one gets it by tonight, I will just tell you.

i have a hunch that the actors banded together to try and kill the director 20 years ago. the director was the one who dropped the statue and made it look as if one of the actors was the culprit and if that is true then the director must have some beef with Mr. K (i forgot his name so i used the first letter of first name)

You go girl! Doing great. We have solved the mystery up to this point. Here let me give you some of the last part.

So Nancy figures it must be blackmailing and finds out about the directors death. She too believes he is dead buried behind the wall she brings the police, and they all open up the coffen. The actors are realieved it is empty but also puzzled. Nancy realizes what has happened and devises a plan for opening night of the play in order to catch the director.
