Since the first riddle I made up seemed ok, it lacked direction. This is one I made up too (yay number 2! :D ). This one looks a lot simpler and be heaps easier. That's because it is. There is a hint in every line so its all relevant. I think I may have tried to make it too obvious though. I do, however, like the symmetry in how I worded it :P

Dark as night,

Chivalrous I may be.

Stormed temples and villages,

For a religious fight.

Yet civil enough to sit at around

For dinner at night.

Anyone got any other thoughts, or guesses rather? Either this one seems to interest no one, or no one knows (shows how good the riddles are I make up). And just cause I'm hitting you over the head with the answer doesn't mean it's the whole answer. Look a bit deeper. I'll post a hint a bit later when there are a few more guesses or if no one has a clue as to what the answer is.

Ok.....

Friday the 13th is a movie featuring a famous killer, whose name is the same as a famous character of Mythology.

I think it could be Jason, though I don't get the "dinner at night" thing..

Nope. I guess you would have been closer before? even though your previous answer was still wrong. This answer is completely going the wrong way. I don't mean to be so blunt if that's the way it sounds....

Lets see if you can pick the right one now and you gotta explain your reasoning behind it too. Just so I get an idea of what I'm thinking and what everyone else is thinking in working out the riddle

Knights Templar!

It's on the da vinci code, it said that friday the 13th was originally came up from the knights templar...

Dark as night, - KNIGHT

For a religious fight. -crusades

For dinner at night. - organization

and according to the da vinci code, friday the 13th was originally came up from the knights templar.

am i wrong?

So I actually made one that works and yes all your reasoning is right. And it wasn't too bad. I wasn't sure how helpful the hint would be but I guess it was very helpful and at least I know that what I'm thinking isn't too personal. Anyways new one coming soon....Maybe now?

yeah nice riddle Runder.

The Knights where burnt at the stake on Friday the 13th. Apparently they were blackmailing the Catholic church.

no one really knows what "evidence" they had against the church though...

Yea, apparently that's why it's so superstitious cause that's the day they died. There's a whole lot of stuff I'm reading on all this kinda stuff so that's gonna be my inspiration and I guess common theme throughout the rest of the riddles. Although there may be a one off that's totally not related every now and then.

edit: thanks for the compliments on the riddle. I didn't think it was great but just one of those ones that's good and then you leave it.
