This is my very first riddle to post, so please bear with me, it might be easy, lame or whatever you want to call it..... Practice makes perfect....

A man is at the store waiting for his wife to call him. Shortly after that, he gets a call. Without even looking at his phone, he knew that it wasn't his wife.

How did he know?

I was thinking of the "he could see her across the street" or something, but the divorce papers idea is inspired. I like that one. Probably needs rephrasing though

Call waiting....she was already on the phone and the other call beeped in.

My first thought was that maybe she had a different ring tone, but that seems too obvious. And my second is that she just walked into the store. Or she could have called in between the time when he was waiting for her and a few minutes later when he got a call. Or maybe he saw her outside the store in some kind of situation where she obviously couldn't have been the one calling him (i.e. she got hit by a bus, arrested, etc).
