Question

:P During WWII, there was a bridge connecting Germany and Switzerland, and on the German side, there was a sentry tower with a guard in it. He would come out every three minutes to check on the bridge, and he had orders to turn back anyone who tried to get into Germany, and shoot anyone trying to escape without a pass. There was a woman who desperately needed to get into Switzerland, and she knew she didn't have time to get a pass. It would take her at least six minutes to cross the bridge, but she managed to do it. How? -_-

She did it with a lead ball in her back. :o

On second thought, she probably just ran half way across the bridge immediately after the guard had checked, then after three minutes, turned around and pretended to be from Switzerland, so that when the guard turned her away, she'd have no choice but to go 'back'. :P

I agree. She turned around so the guard sent her back.

As soon as the guard goes into his tower, she begins to walk across...but after 2 1/2 mins, she turns around and begins to walk back. The guard sees her, and commands her to "go back". So she turns around ans heads into Switzerland.

As soon as the guardd goes back in to the tower, she starts to cross and makes it 1/2 way. At this point she needs to turn around and head back toward Germany. When the guard comes back to check the bridge, it looks as if she is trying to get into Germany and he sends her to Switzerland.

The woman walked out on the bridge during the 3 minute lapse while he was inside, turned around, and walked back just in time to be stopped by the guard because she was trying to enter Germany, and sent back across the bridge

she waited till he checked the bridge and went back in. then she walked three minutes across the bridge and then turned back so to appear she was coming toward. he turned her back and she finished crossing the bridge. now she is swiss.

Is this right?

When the guard came back to check and see if anyone had crossed the bridge, the person who was trying to get to the other side, turned the other way, therefor pretending to have come from the other side of the bridge.
