0 Guest
Assuming that "jump over" means you can't land on the bag or fit in between the bag and the wall, the corner solution is still incomplete. Unless the bag has cross sections with a right angle (or whatever other angle will fit into the corner) and is concave (so there's no way to fit between the bag and the wall at all), it would still be possible. See the attached, crudely drawn picture:

Unless you have crazy skills that elude the rest of us I would suggest not arguing with the obvious solution.
0 Guest
I suppose you could put the bag in a small room that the bag fit snugly in. Weak answer, but you couldn't even "corner jump" over it...no matter how mad your skills.
0 Guest
stick it in the corner of a closet. You really cant "jump" over a bag in a corner because the bag will kinda take the shape of the wall corner so if your gonna jump, your gonna get face planted on the wall and fall on top of the bag....hence , phailing at jumping over the bag happy jumping btw..........nice riddle lol
0 Guest
How could I place a bookbag on the floor where no one could jump over it? Its simlpe really!!! What about the floor in a crawl space?
0 Guest
What about the floor in a crawl space? The answer IS simple!Place the bag on the floor in the hallway. Close the door of the room leading to it. It's impossible to jump over the bag while the door remains closed. Both room and hallway share the same floor. 0 Guest
you put the bag on the corner on the roof? I guess if wouldn't be impossible to jump but I doubt you would want to...
0 Guest
Place the bag right next to the jumper right in the center of any size or shape room. Now attach a noose to the jumper's neck. The other end is attached to the ceiling. The jumper's hands are then handcuffed. He or she won't be able to jump the bag now.

0 Guest
Chuck I think you're stretching a little here. A bookbag is a small bag that would fit snuggly against two walls in the corner. Unless you have crazy skills that elude the rest of us I would suggest not arguing with the obvious solution. The only crazy skills I have that apply in this situation involve pedantically analyzing puzzles to find technicalities and loopholes in the intended solution. In case you're wondering, I'm like this pretty much all the time which is probably why I'm such a big hit at parties.
0 Guest
Uh, guys? I posted the answer a few quotes ago... Place the bag on the floor in the hallway. Close the door of the room leading to it. 0 Guest
Place the bag in the corner of a room with only one book in the bag. The book stands on edge and is put into the corner so that the distance from the corner and to each side of the book is equal, forming a triangle. While defining "jumping over the top" as having at least one foot completely pass from one side to the other (no diagonal jump), even a large book like a dictionary or multiple books would be nary impossible to accomplish. Using that definition, it might work better to place the book flat on the ground with an edge of the book in the corner of the room, otherwise if the book is long enough to create enough space in the formed triangle (space between book and corner), someone could manage to hop over into the corner. And putting the book upside down won't work. You'd still be jumping over the top of it, just the "top" would be below the "bottom" and would technically satisfy the condition of jumping over it. 0 Guest
Good grief people...place the bag anywhere on the floor you want. My answer is still very correct, especially with this clarification:You are in the room, the door is closed, the bag is in the hall, you can never jump the bag!
