0 Guest
Not really sure where he was before, it's not clear, nor is the time of day certain though sleep implies night or just rest. So either his car broke down or he was walking by the market on his way home - asked a person there to give him an alarm call, or drew money from the cash machine to make sure he remembered the pin for his purchase of what ever was ready at that time ... any number of reasons but, may be he put in his breakfast order or went to get his car and fell asleep, went for the early morning bread, or evening supper - so many answered have satisfied the OP Eagle!!!! 0 Guest
Stuff to kill zombies? The zombies come out at night so he decided he had no time to shop, hurried home and slept through the time when they were active but he's tired of their irritating antics so he's going after them tomorrow night and so he went back to the market to buy guns and crossbows. Ok no, really. A bicycle? So he can get places faster? He didn't want to ride it home in the dark because he couldn't see well? I have no clue. We don't have markets per se here so I can't really say what they sell, aren't there different markets for different types of things to buy? 0 Guest
He works next door to the market, and stopped by after work one day before walking home, but the market was already closed. He woke up early the next morning to go to the market before work. He bought chickens (everyone needs a chicken or two). He went to the post office, but they were closed. He went the next morning to buy stamps and mail a package. He was bored. He bought an answer off a wise man.

0 Guest
He went on a 10 km walk with his dog and after the walk looked at his dog and saw a "Flea Market" (perhaps a stretch from the more traditional "flea circus"), and thus.... He went to the store to buy flea repellant for his dog.
