Question

There once was a man who was the wisest man in the world. He had three intelegent students. There was only one problem, he was dying. He had to chose which one of his three students was going to be the wisest man after he was gone. So he gave them all a ridle...

He gave them all a card with an ace on it and told them to stand in a cirlce so that they could see the other two cards but not their own. Then he told them to hold up their hand it they saw an ace. They all did so, and then he asked them to prove how they knew they had an ace. Finally one of the men said, "I know I have an ace and here is how I can prove it...." How did he prove it?

for it to be a fair chance for them all to win, they all had to have the same card, as the wisest thought this and he saw 2 aces he knew he must have an ace aswell for it to be fair
