If you are running and you pass the person that is in 2nd place what place are you in. (This may seem easy but alot of people have not gotten it. Also thre are 2 reasonable answers.

well one answer is obviously "2nd place"

but the other answer should be.. "d same place" .. coz if u r a lap down, then u just pass... technically ur not front of him... ur just in the "same place"

(A) I presume you are reffering to an athletic track event.

(B) You are running for a bus with prepaid ticket.

© You were entered for Shotput.

Lets take (A) in the first place, if, as I imagine, its not just a sprint more of a marathon , so many times around the track etc, then it could well be that the second place person has already outpaced you.

So (B) , if you have´nt got 1st ticket there´s no point running ahead of the 2nd ticket.

And © , if you´re entered for shotput you`re in the wrong place.
