(This may seem easy but alot of people have not gotten it. Also thre are 2 reasonable answers.One answer is second place. The other answer is in front of him.) (B) You are running for a bus with prepaid ticket. © You were entered for Shotput. Lets take (A) in the first place, if, as I imagine, its not just a sprint more of a marathon , so many times around the track etc, then it could well be that the second place person has already outpaced you. So (B) , if you have´nt got 1st ticket there´s no point running ahead of the 2nd ticket. And © , if you´re entered for shotput you`re in the wrong place.
