Guest
Wow are these people for real? You all need to read and understand directions a bit better, maybe they shouldn't be doing these kind of puzzles, could be a bit to much for them... Guest
The farmer takes the goat over first, then he goes back and gets the wolf, he takes the wolf across and puts the goat back in the boat and goes back across. So at this point the cabagge is still on the first side, the wolf is across and the goat is in the boat. The farmer picks up the cabagge and drops the goat off where he cabbage was. He goes across the river with the cabbage and puts it in the side with the wolf. Then he goes back and gets the goat. Nobody is eatin and everybody is happy except for the exhusted farmer. Guest
You take the she goat over first, then, you take the wolf over. Once you get over, you bring the she goat back. You leave the she goat and then take the cabbage. You return with nothing and then take the she goat to the other side. In other words: She goat from a to b back to a with nothing Wolf from a to b back to a with she goat cabbage from a to b back to a with nothing she goat from a to b

Guest
All 3 are on side A. First take goat to side B. Return alone to side A. Take cabbage to side B. Return with goat to side A and drop the goat off. Take wolf to side B. Return alone to side A. Take goat to side B. Now you are on the other side with all 3 and haven't had anything eaten. Guest
Oh, this is simple. First, you take the she-goat to one side, return alone, take the wolf, leave it at the other side, return with the sheep, take the cabbage and leave the sheep, then return alone and bring the sheep to the other side with everything else. Guest
Why did it have to be a she-goat? Couldn't it just be a goat? p.s. this was the first one i ever did too!(but i did it with a sheep, not a goat...) ALSO!!! if you left an animal alone, wouldn't they run away? or are they tied down? and if they were tied down, couldn't the farmer just tie them down far enough away from each other that they couldn't eat each other? and why would a farmer need a wolf anyway? and couldn't he grow his own cabbage? -brain melts form the logic of it all-
Guest
He can't keep the she-goat and the cabbage together (because the she-goat would eat it), nor the she-goat with the wolf (because the she-goat would be eaten). So, he'd have to: 1) take the she-goat across; leaving the wolf and cabbage (row back) 2) take the cabbage across; leaving the wolf (row back along with the she-goat; leaving the cabbage on the destination side) 3) take the wolf across; leaving the she-goat (row back ALONE this time; leaving the wolf and cabbage on the destination side) 4) finally, take the she-goat across; leaving no one

Guest
Okay, you are crossing from side A to side B. You take the she goat across to side B, then go back to side A, and bring the wolf across to side B. When going back to side A, bring the she goat with, to save her from harm. Once on side A, leave the she goat and take the cabbage back across to side B, where the wolf waits. Then leave the wolf and cabbage on side B and go back for the she goat. After you make it across to side B, you can continue along on your journey. Is that right?
Guest
Answer: Get the she-goat and move her across the river, return and get the cabbage, return with the she-goat, get the wolf to the other side, go back and get the she-goat from the other side. Guest
I thought it interesting that it was a she goat specifically. However, I'm going with this. Guy carries the cabbage in boat, goat follows in the water to chase the cabbage, the wolf follows in the water to chase the goat till arriving at the other side, a huge fight breaks out and you have a pile of coleslaw..... Guest
<!-- s:?: --><!-- s:?: --> Can't you just take the wolf and the cabbage over together, the cannage does not wiegh much and does not take up any space so you can take them over together then go back and take the goat. what if its a BLOODY GREAT BIG CABBAGE, mind you if it was BLOODY GREAT BIG CABBAGE then the wolf would pass out from the smell (cuz of its gd smelling capabilities) then the farmer has freedom to take them back and forth as he pleases, assuming he hasn't passed out as well
