0 Guest
Some of the lines are more likely to be known than others. If you're not sure if your guess fits all of the hints, go for it!
0 Guest
The Rocky Mountains in the western U.S.? Being younger than their brethren on the East Coast, they are considerably less eroded and thus even "sharper", like spears. And the "round, shallow basin" is/are the Great Plains. 0 Guest
No, but really good guess. I realized I need to specify something: He has two kin, and one of their heads are sharp, the other one is smooth, not both having heads both smooth and sharp. One part that doesn't quite fit is that I don't think the Great Plains are round. Edited July 12, 2010 by NickFleming
0 Guest
I was thinking like a newly formed island on a plate edge (volcanic, would explain the round, shallow basin), where the sharp rocks haven't been eroded, but the further away rocks are round and smooth. You last hint makes me wrong Edited July 12, 2010 by David31337

0 Guest
A fork lies on a table, and what I would consider the back is resting on the table Knives and spoons are akin to forks as cutlery A fork goes on the left, knife and spoon on the right plate or bowl Forks were invented after spoons and knives Many years after knives have sharp head, spoons have smooth Tines of a fork resemble spears. Resting on my back. I'm separated from my kin Because in between us lies A round, shallow basin. Of us I am the youngest By many, many, years And while they have heads smooth and sharp Mine resembles spears This is the first riddle I myself have made that I consider a good, and not too easy, riddle.
