Guest
I know I am going way out on a limb here, but since none of you know where I live, I may be safe. My alarm system allows me to have a different (3 digit) code based on the day of the week. The pad has the standard 0-9 keys. I have sorted the codes numerically, not by the day. 120, 143, XXX, 164, 164, 200, 220 Your task: Tell me the missing code & the day I use each of the codes. (yes I know I have two 164s) If you figure it out, I will change my alarm codes. It proves that criminals are not as smart as you are. 0 Guest
ok i think i have it: i have to say, i DID get a lot of help from lil stinker with this. thanks. each letter in the name of the day stands for a number (a=1,b=2,c=3.. etc..)add them together to get the total for each day. monday:72 tuesday:95 wednesday:100? thursday:116 friday:63 saturday:109 sunday:84 now convert each of these numbers into base(how many letters there are in its name) (example: tuesday is into base 7 because there are 7 letters in tuesday) monday:200 tuesday:164 wednesday:I SEEM TO GET 121 FOR THIS :/ THIS COULD BE MY MISTAKE BUT COULD IT POSSIBLY BE A TYPO?? thursday:164 friday:143 saturday:155 sunday:220 so, anyway,.. 120 - wednesday?? 143 - friday 155 - saturday 164 - thursday 164 - tuesday 200 - monday 220 - sunday
