A man has a small boat and he has to move an entire yard of lumber to the other side of the lake. How does he do it?

Well Very simple He can connect all the lumber or in a other words making a kind of boat and then he can put his small boat as well himself on the lumber boat.

Since this is a lake not a river, he can move along the bank of the lake to other side...
