Three people were travelling across the country. They stopped at a motel to get a room for the night. The room cost $30. They each chipped in $10 dollars and got the room. Well later on the clerk felt guilty because he overcharged them and he gave a maid 5 one dollar bills to take the three men. On the way over the maid pocketed 2 dollars and gave each of the three 1 dollar back. So originally they all paid $10 now they each got a dollar back so they each paid $9. $9 times the three guys equals $27. The maid pocketed $2 equals $29. Where is the extra dollar?
